Horsing about in South County

I see horses caused havoc in South County at the weekend, I was going to book in for a midweek open online and came across this.

How gutted would you be if you turned up on the morning of a big inter-club match and find this? If its any consolation at least it happened in the middle of winter when there’s placing everywhere. I know sh*t happens but surely the owner of the horses would have to be held responsible for this? I did notice at my own club recently there was a lot of animal foot prints dotted around the course.

Know there a fair few South County members on here, will you guys be out helping to repair the marks on Thursday?

I played there the day after it happened, up to 60 horses were loose on the course. I'm familiar with horses and they look like they got away with murder, should have been a lot worse, I'm not a member.

Nope, they broke through, that's all I was told in pro shop.

Who unloads 60 horses on a golf course intentionally??

We had a similar problem on one of the greens on my old course.

I was playing late one night when I came up to one of the greens and it looked like 100 cows/horses had been prancing around it (the green was like "putty" with hundreds of hoof-prints)........the green was destroyed. Looking back it was odd that there was no other damage other than the green so I wonder if it was deliberate.
