Was doing a bit of rooting around the origins of this golf forum and found a thread on Seve Ballesteros from May 2003...
It's funny to look back at some old opinions...

Its a pity alright, his short game is still great on a good day, but he can't drive for nuts anymore. It must be frustrating to know you have something there but not enough...and I suspect he's just too old to reinvent his game. I wonder will Lee Westwood or David Duval recover?

    Mike.
Sadly i think Westwood is finished. Duval has a good bit left in him though imho.

I remember saying to my mate about 10 years ago that I taught that before end decade that Sergio Garcia will have won 5-6 majors.

    He keeps reminding me now.

Yeah... like when I was 18, in my opinion it was a good idea to use a 6 degree driver

Probably because Great Big Bertha were the only drivers easily available in 6 degrees.

Yeah pretty much. The only 6˚driver ive ever seen was a BB.
