lunch break restrictions?

    our work place want to insist on staff staying in the building on call during our unch breaks. is this legal or do we have a right too go out and actually have a break?

    Not 100% sure. I would assume they would have to pay you if they want you on call. If your not paid for lunch I would guess that you are fee to do what you want. Hopefully some will know for sure.

    In my job we have to stay in the building for the breaks that we are paid for but are free to do what we like on unpaid 1 hour lunch breaks.
