Mazda Demio, just noticed the other day that the gauge is not working........ needle doesent move from zero. Are these yokes still the same as way back when:D in my day, just a screw in sensor in the side of the block and a diy job to replace or is it more sophisticated and techie now:(

I have the same issue in my Renault scenic RX4 . I thought it would be a wire in the dash so I will be looking for help too

I had that issue when I got my Expert van, was a simple diy sensor change.

I only noticed it the other but hopefully it's just a non replaced or loose conn after I got my timing belt replaced a couple of months ago.

    Check the thermostat>>

but the car is not overheating, in fact its running normally and heater seems to be working fine too but will try it on full throttle tomorrow.

There is no movement out of gauge so I suspect sensor or electrical fault.. rather than thermostat.
