Myself and my friend (we are both in our 20s) have booked flights to Faro in April, we are looking for a lively place to stay we have been told there are a few places namely Albufeira, Praia de Rocha and Villamora. We want somewhere with a good nightlife bars and clubs. Also any hotel ideas would be appreciated.:)

I would say Albufeira Old Town would be best. There are plenty of bars, and a few clubs (I think!).

Vilamoura is more for golfers, and Praia de Rocha is a concrete jungle, which gets pretty lively June-September. But if you stay in Albufeira, you could always get a bus to Portimao, and then a connection/taxi into Praia de Rocha, if you fancied a change one night.

Sol-E-Mar and Rocomar hotels would both be in good locations in the Old Town, (but I've not actually stayed in either!) Have a look on tripadvisor.com. You should also post on their forum, asking their advice on which resort to go for.

    Enjoy!

Albufeira or Lagos sound suitable or maybe carvoiero. Vilamoura is purely set up for middle aged golfers...(in my opinion!)
