Dell Daily YoYoing on Studio 17 Spec

Having logged onto Dell's site last night I was delighted to see that they were (finally) offering the Core i7 Processors on their Studio 17 range. Although they've dropped the Full HD screens I was glad they had a modern range of processors with 1GB Radeon 4650s.

Then I log in today and see this?!

Dual Core Processors? Not even Core2Duos as standard? The Radeon 4650 has a 10 week waiting period.

What on Earth is going on when it comes to Ireland in Dell's scheme of things? Dell's UK and US sites have a consistent rate of improving specs..not increasing them for one day before trying to drown the market with older equipment the next.

They change their online spec options all the time, and from region to region. There's loads of reason, mostly related to the supply of parts, or end-of-line stuff they're trying to get rid of etc.

Ring them up and you can usually order whatever you want.

Although the Studio 17 will be getting upgraded to the ATI Mobility 5650 and 5730 soon..;)
