During the recent cold spell I did not add anti freeze into my windscreen washer storage bottle in engine. It frooze over during the cold spell but works now.

I now notice when I fill it up with water it is empty within 24hrs.

I cannot see any cracks in the unit upon visual look and suspect it may have expanded and cracked underneath not visible to the eye during the cold spell in Jan.

Might bring it to my local mechanic for him to inspect underneath.

If it is cracked can it be glued or do I have to order a new unit.?

Yeah, sounds like it froze, expanded and cracked. Replacement would depend on how bad or how many cracks there is I would imagine. Some small cracks may be sealed but more than that and it might be better off replacing and getting decent screenwash with anti freeze in future.

TBH, I think it's more likely that either the pump casing or one of the pipes leading out of the reservoir has cracked. Best thing is to take it out and have a look.

+1. Recently found myself in the same circumstances. Water was p*ssing out when I poured it in. Took the tank out to inspect the damage and found that the pipe to the rear window that ran under the tank had burst

Might be an idea to get the Golden Pages out and call the Scrapyards - Haggle as I doubt they are in demand.
