    Hi Folks,

just a quick question, im on BT with a new router (Belkin F5D8635UK4A) and i can connect to the PSN network fine on the ps3. can message friends and when i open multiplayer on MW2, i can see my friends ranks scrolling across the bottom of the screen. but if i click find game then its just stays on "connecting to matchmaking server" and goes no further. according to my PS3. im on NAT type 2. when i used my old router i had no issues connecting and in game (on the mw2 multiplayer menu) it always said Nat Type... Open

i have searched and found bits and pieces regarding setting up DMZ's on my router but i just want to check with you guys first :)

    any ideas?

when i got a new router it had me as nat type 2 staright away without port forwarding or in my case putting the ps3 in dmz mode, and i had problems playin fifa and mw2,but with my old router i could only get nat type 2 if i set the dmz mode myself,so i jus tried what i did with my old router even though it was saying nat type 2,i put the ps3 in dmz mode, and no problems since!id say its just because you havnt port forwarded or set to dmz mode

right ps3 in in Nat type 2. dmz was set up and i went to portforward.com and opened up the ports they recommend and still nothing... it just hangs on connecting to matchmaking server. :(

problem solved. sets up the DMZ. switched on uPNP on the ps3 and switch off uPNP on the router... dont ask why. it just works :pac:
