Anyone watching this tonight? If so, can someone let me know what time it'll be up at-ish please?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,095 ✭✭✭Columc

It's up now in places, watched it live since im in America, was a ok episode, defintly not a Finale type episode, quite disapointing to say the leaset.
It's going to be oviouse that the recording of clear jumping and healing will be covered over and said it was a cranival trick or something.

Incorrect, my friend. Apparently the basis for Volume 6 (should it happen) will be superpowered people living out in the open and the world trying to adjust. It's a dangerous road to go down in terms of story-telling if ye ask me but there ya have it.

Sylar turning out to be good just reeeeaaaaaaaally sucks ass imo.

Peter saving the day by facing Samuel was right up my alley and he did it in pretty much exactly the way I'd predicted he would so yay for that.

Was kinda hoping Edgar would kill Samuel and get a little retribution for Lydia but I'm guessing Samuel might now resurface in Volume 6...

I guess if they do get another season, they can go practically anywhere with it from here. Could be interesting....

    Anti-climactic.
I miss pretty Charlie. I'm struggling to understand the mechanics of Tracey "watering" Noah and Claire out of the pit. Sylar's "redemption" was shít. I mean, if he'd actually done anything of particular use, ok, but all he did was keep Doyle down after Emma knocked him. Big whoop? Her cello playing had drawn everyone in at that stage anyway so it made no difference...

Didn't they try to go down that route of being open about it before? Ending in bad futures and such... but then again Sylar was the US president. Thought there'd be a bit more to the episode, though it was better than the average for the season.
Think I'll just wait till the end of next season before watching any more, if they get the go ahead for renewal.

Great Claire thanks for more X-Men reminders, what's next the sentinels?

Overall ok episode. Felt Rushed, when I have to admit to enjoying Smallville more, you know it's time for Heroes to say go.
Thanks for one awesome season of tv.

Average, just felt flat...the showndown between Samuel & Peter had potential, it just fizzled out. All round Meh from me......

All i can add to this thread is "Meh"

The fact that only a handful of people even bother posting about the last few episodes kinda says it all... Average episode at best, can't see any reason why it took another 18 episodes before it to get to this?

And even worse, if the show does get renewed, seems Claire will be a big part of the main storyline... again :(.

I quite liked it... Knepper is still the best thing about season 4 (despite the accent)

    RIP the Sylar we loved.

Kind of fizzled out. Wasn't too bad on the whole.

one of the worst eps ever.

Lets be honest, it did keep the tradition of crap finals alive.

FFS we didnt even get to see how sylar/peter beat multipul man. And while talking about sylar we he didnt even use any powers in this episode.

There has never been a decent final to Heroes in all the seasons. I haven't watched the past 5 episodes, just got pissed off of the show with boring worthless characters being brought in and the good characters not being utilised.

    Is it worth watching them?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,406 ✭✭✭PirateShampoo

Nope, the only thing heroes does well is to give the promise of a awesome battle, only to **** all over it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,779 ✭✭✭A Neurotic

Wait, weren't we promised a major character death in this Season?

    We did. Nathan, remember?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,975 ✭✭✭nkay1985

Really a bit of a disappointment to be honest. To just have everyone convinced and then walk away of their own accord was really shit - was hoping for a bit of a battle. Was thinking that with Sylar on the good guys' side it could have been deadly. But no, instead it was shit.

Actually don't mind the ending too much. Be interesting to see what they might do with it if given the chance but it's all been downhill from season 1 really, hasn't it?

Yeah, I know. I'm not arguing with you there, but that was who they had in mind, since they gave him a long winded closure.

a few things about the esp:

How did Tracy get the two out??

where did she go? we dident even see her after she rescued them

Dident Clair see the results of living out before? So she knows not to come out..

Was expecting a bigger battle at the end.. 19 esps for that crap fight
this season dident really go any where or provide us with any thing.. Id say its time to shut it down...

The whole season really was a load of bleedin cobblers so it was a fitting end.

I sort of gathered after this that it was going to be a poor show, i really thought multi man was sent off to kill sylar.

In fairness, it'd be pretty insulting to the viewers to even dignify that excuse for a confrontation with any screen time.

    "Hey, I'm multiple man!"
"Hi, I'm going to throw you across the room and knock you out with my mind now."

I don't think it needed to be shown, being that it was a pathetic attempt.

He used telekinesis on Multiple Man and Doyle, and Flight (albeit, offscreen).

The implication was that she touched them and turned them all to water and reassembled their molecules when they were safely in the river. Works much the same as Hiro teleporting people that he's touching, I gather.

I didn't realize it was the season finale until the last 10 minutes.
    Very underwhelming.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,119 ✭✭✭Volvagia

    Not very good.

As an arc they really took a winding path to get to this finale, which was underwhelming.

And when Hiro teleported all the specials out there seemed to be only 40 or so there. I had the idea that Samuel had assembled much more than that.

As for the fight between peter and Samuel they might as well have been pushing each other like two school kids who don't really want to fight each other.

Claire's revelation, yawn. Hopefully they'll go down the route of registration like the super hero civil war from the Marvel universe.

I really wonder if they will get a chance though.

    That could be good yeah.

    Ugh!
Yet another identity crisis for Sylar... Just stick to being an evil bastard please!
Serious plot hole going on RE Samual's power. How come he was able to destroy a town when there was nobody with powers near him a few eps ago, but no such luck in the finale... Well done writers!
I still kind of enjoyed the series, and will end up watching S5 no doubt...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,780 ✭✭✭JohnK

I was under the impression that the carnival full of people with powers was just outside the town he destroyed whereas in New York Hero had taken them all far outside whatever his power sucking radius was.

I just finished watching series 4 and it was better than I expected it to be. The finale though, as everyone has said was a disappointment.

Pure muck! Why does every ****ing thing have to involve Claire and her Dad.

    Every signal season

Claire and Noah fight. Then make up.
As for Sylar, bad, good bad good. Jesus he was the best villain in any tv show I ve seen and they couldn't let it go.
Hiro, pfft someone who can fix any problem they have, great job.

I hope its over I really do.
