Must not have been in school when this poem was explained as I don't remember it. Trying to decipher it and I've gotten that it's a battle between God and the Devil, and the human race is watching or something of that sense. Can anyone shed some further light on this?

The poet believes that our lives our set out for us by god, we are preforming to set rolls. The poet questions his role and how sometimes he makes mistakes by not learning his lines. He wonders will he recieve a prize at the end of the drama. Thats all i remember really, here's some short notes ..
