So lately in the past few years I've noticed friends and strangers turn themselves into the more.........particular side of the public by means of clothes and the way they talk.

It's quite funny seeing someone you know who comes from an average background / small town wandering about with chav clothes, big "gold" rings and saying "sham" all the time. Usually listening to 2pac or 50 cent seems to be compulsory too when a few months earlier the likes The Kaiser Chiefs were flavour of the day.

They get their hands on a bit of the ol' "you know what" and next thing they think they're related to Pablo Escobar!

Have I become old now that this is what it is to be cool and 'ard nowadays?

Heh, the type I'm on about wouldn't be of my main circle of buddies. Harmless fellas but they have that "cool as a chav hat" attitude, usually that kind of "fùck da po-leese"!

Yes, you are becoming older, and no, that it not what is "cool". And while some folk from those rural and ordinary (maybe middle class?) backgrounds will change and gravitate towards that seedier side of society, it is often a phase that matches where they are in life. Usually, they don't know where the hell they are, or where they are meant to be, and this idiotic lifestyle appeals, because they think it is "cool".
Hopefully, the price for this choice will not be too high, and after some possibly very ugly experiences, will straighten up slightly and try to resume normal practise. Whatever that may be.
Others, will pursue this horrible life to the gates of insanity and despair.

Now......who to blame for this phenomena.......

In fairness, there's no growing up involved in becoming a scumbag, some hit it around 7 and don't develop mentally at all from there.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Actually, I think 2pac and friends came first and the Kaiser Chiefs were after...I think the difference is you wont here indie tunes being blasted down the back of a bus..and you probably wont hear indie music before you get a bottle lobbed at your head..

Im not slagging of the music here and I know im probably making a generalisation..

Scangers were always around in some form or another and they probably wont be going anywhere..

As for the 2Pac and 50 Cent remark, you know what I mean, I'm only on about those who take the image to heart rather than the music.

Knew 1 guy who would make up his on raps about living in the "ghetto" and a "gangster life" when in reality he only lived up the street from me..................the only problem my street ever had was boredom :pac: Rap about that dawg!

Lol....yea, it's not so much the music, more the mentality. I happen to like some of tupac's stuff, though not much.
But you have to admit..a lot of the dim witted scum bags seem to really buy into this music totally...Is finglas south so much like compton?
No...but the way the "heads" are going, it's getting there...

Anyone behaving like this should be forced to watch Tom Cruise's character in Tropic Thunder trying to be a cool white dude by pretending to be black. Then tell them in a few years, they too will look this mentally challenged.

Hey buddy you are well on the way when

De Ma an Da never worked in their lives, but relied on de labour

Your Sis got a snot in the sump and got banged up

Your Uncle was put into prison for fiddling with kids.

Your walking out suit is a Spurs tracksuit.

You 'sport' a variety of tats on your body.

You have such a thick ugly Doob accent that makes you almost unemployable( 'cept for cleaning the grease out of commercial deep fat fryers)

You think that the results of your English Premiership team are the only thing that matters.

You left school at 12 to work in 'construction' in other words a builders labourer.

You claimed against your employer and blew the lot in Corals Bookies.

You call Tesco Tescoes Euro Euros... pounds pound anything that is wrong is fine.

You are a cunt and you think you are great, pay no taxes and are a drain on society, contributing nothing and leeching everything.

You think the state and John Q taxpayer should pay for your lifestyle.

    That about covers it.

I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now, what
I'm with isn't it, and what's "it" seems weird and scary to me.
