why is the truecrypt systray icon black?

why is the system tray icon for truecrypt black? it's just a black square now. i've tried rebooting but no effect. i'm running windows xp. anyone had this before?

Find shelliconcache and delete it and then reboot. It will be rebuilt
upon rebooting.
Easy and quick thing to try.
