Ok, I have read a few threads on this 30km/h speed limit in Dublin City centre.
This is not a thread to discuss the pros and cons of this speed limit.

Rather, I want to discuss other options that DCC could take.

I think there are a whole lot of options that DCC could look into, that would benifit not only motorists, but most people in the city.

    Option 1:
Encourage motorists to use the M50 instead of going through the city by removing the toll.

I live in D6, and work in D15 - it would be easier for me to use the M50 to get to work, but I refuse to pay the toll, so I go through the city.

So, you have the stick - 30km/h in the city centre,
    and carrot - free M50.

    I have a few more.

    Option 2:

    Push Biker friendly Luas carages.

You could have every third Luas a 'push bike' firendly Luas.

I saw this in Berlin, and it works a treat. The Luas line is a ten minute walk from where I live, so if I could cycle there, and take my push bike on the Luas, I might use the Luas more often, and leave the car at home.

    This ties in with...

    Option 3:

Safe secure push bike parking in Dublin City centre.

Again, this is something that I have seen in Holland.
A designated push bike parking area, where I can lock a push bike, and leave my helmet and rain gear in a locked locker.
I don't mind if it is a coin operated lock, and costs a euro - this could go towards the attendants wages.
