Mountbellew, Co Galway, incorporates the whole town, starts on Sat evening, and all day Sunday, exhibitors very well looked after, ie free entry and dinner, free shuttle bus from the field into the town, working field for tractors,

Charleville, great mix of cars, tractors, and commercials, also a county fair is held on the same day, something for everyone

Durrow, traffic chaos aside, this is the first "big one" of the year, always a massive turnout of exhibits, hopefully the new bypass will alleviate last year's problems

    there also
    Mosney
    Terenure
    Kilbeggan
    Inistioge, Co Kilkenny
    Stradbally Steam Rally, Co Laois
    Moynalty, Co Meath
Riverstown, Co Sligo, held at a working museum

outside of Ireland, the Classic Motor Show at the NEC Birmingham

Don't forget the show on Easter Sunday at Limerick Junction in aid of The Tipperary Hospice. Their first show last year was quite a success.

I ahve to say my Fav last year was the Neal Egan run in Sligo. It was a ford show but it has the best weather of the year. ALso had a great drive though sligo and letrim.

Also I did enjoy the Killbegan american show despite the crappy weather.

Lots of really good shows around the country but the best one (by far) for me has to be Fingal. Has a bit of everything at it and the working display really sets it out from most others. Plus the organisation is usually excellent. Wouldn't miss it for anything

I can't believe it hasn't been mentioned already but my favourite in 2009 was Classic Car Live in Mondello. We had over 200 Minis on the track and after all the other cars were gone, we formed a huge 50 with Minis (see photo in Irish Vintage Scene). The big difference between this and other shows was the track activity and seeing cars in motion.

Will be there again in June.

Well if we're tipping across the water the best show you will see in the UK is the Classic Motor Show in the NEC in Birmingham each year. All indoors and it's HUGE, you could spend days there!

    Highly recommended! www.necclassicmotorshow.com
