If I was to go to Caymans/Oz etc. What are the conditions on bringing money into the country.

Im considering working where its tax free abroad so could come home with a large amount. Am i taxed on just what Ive brought into the country or what ive earned overall and how is it calulcated.

Thanks, hope this is right forum.

There are no restrictions on bringing money into the country.

However, you need to make sure that you actually break Irish tax residence in order not to be taxed on your employment income abroad in Ireland.

If you do not break Irish tax residence you will be taxed in Ireland in full on your employment income.

I assume you are Irish resident and domicile.
