Isuzu Ireland are now offering 7500 euro scrappage on a 3.0 trooper running or not running when traded in against any new D-Max, seems to be a very good offer ?? Obviously they're trying to get the 3.0's off the road and get their name back into the 4x4 game with the new D-max's(a very good machine)

    I'd have one.

Serious injector problems with the 3.0 (open to correction but the 3.1 was the older ones and think they were ok).

First 20 day figures showed that they sold didily-squat so this is no suprise really

I'm sure it's based on an artificially inflated list price and that the reductions they got for putting awful suspension in the back to reduce the VRt to €50 haven't been passed on.

    Maybe I'm just cynical

Have worked in an Isuzu garage for 10 years.

Have done an immense amount of work on these bloody 3.0l's. We are still doing warranty work on '00 troopers now

    Heard nothing about this.

The DMax gives very little trouble from what I have seen

The 3.1's were unbreakable(seen one running perfectly even though when the oil was drained there was just over a litre of oil in the sump and whatever the filter holds)
Have fitted countless injectors, injector mods, turbos, heads, short blocks etc to the 3.0's but I still wouldnt think twice about owning one as imo they are the best jeep out there at the mo to pull they seem to be geared just right for pulling(once pulled an ESB Unimog out of a very mucky field with one though it did have the Diffs welded solid on it though;) )

Just double checked and its defo an Isuzu Ireland scrappage promotion, its leaving a brand new D-Max working out about 20,000 plus.

Must chat the boss, see if he has heard anything about it.

The DMax is wild solid on the back with the extra leaves and the Koni's
