Id agree with Tom. I Played and never rushed back to play. There are a couple of nice holes, 17th par 3 and 11th par 3 as mentioned by Tom but it was not my cup of tea, too short. There is a cracking big hotel there on site now a few years and the bar / food facilities are very good.

I played it a few years back. As mentioned needs quite a few years to mature but not the worst course I've ever played.

Wouldn't be travelling too far to play it again though.

I live about 5 mins from this course.
Played it twice last year and it has potential when it matures a little more but I have to say greens were very lacklustre and overall standard on and off the fairways was below average for me.
I'm not a serious or regular golfer so when somebody like me has an opinion like that I believe it's not good. 11 is a lovely hole and I like the 12 aswell.

I had a fairways discount but I would'nt play it again unless I found it had improved.

Thanks guys. Strange that you and a few others I've talked to say it's short. On the card it looks quite long. I assume as a new-ish place that "needs to mature" it's fairly open?

Can’t say I have played the course. However I think people often make their assumptions on a course after a general midweek open or a normal green fee when the course is set up kindly and in some cases people are playing off the yellows or the front white tees. Also the card might read 5836 metres/6382 yards (in this case) off the whites but the tees might be shoved all the way to the front taking something like 5-10 yards off each hole. A better assumption of a course can be made after playing a monthly medal or in a scratch cup, or asking in the pro shop can ya play off the back tees.

I played Dunmurry Springs not so long back off the whites and thought it was short (not anyways easy) but off the blues on certain holes it looks a beast! The lads I was playing with where all disregarding the course, saying it was short and easy, funny as none of them scored more than 28 points. In fairness they did say it very pleasant and the course was in great nick. The CSS of the blues really reflects the toughness. Great track by the way.
