Itchy after waxing

I had a brazilian done on Saturday afternoon (for the second time, same place, same wax) and the itch by the following morning was driving me mad and the whole area was very red.

The redness has mostly gone down but my *ahem* lips seem very red and itchy still.

Just wondering has anyone any similar experience/advice??

My first thought was thrush although I've heard that you can get itchy dryness if the wax takes skin cells with it?!

Some itching after a wax is normal for some people.
Try not to scratch and apply a soothing ointment (ask your waxist for a recommendation next time you're there).
As you've gone a few days already you should be ok to apply most creams at this point.
I find tea tree products great, they reduce inflamation and ingrown hairs.

A cool face cloth applied on the area can also work wonders.

If you're still worried about it, call the place where you had it done and ask them.
They should be able to put your mind at ease.

OP here, thanks for the advice kittenkiller :)

Bread soda bath helped loads (the joys of the internet) and you were right about calling the waxer, she said to drop in later and she'll give me some of their lotion to help reduce the redness.

    Thanks again :)
