Hi hopefully someone can help me out

Have just gotten a new iphone 3gs a week ago on speakeasy 02 have had to unlock using blackrain, now my battery decided it was dead when i plugged it in to charge it was at 30% then i got the connect to itunes logo on the phone and it went into recovery mode. this is a major pain in the ass am am wondering can i restore the phone and bring it back to o2 and ask for one with the serial number that i can unlock it - can you guys tell me what to ask for? am having so many issues with this compared to my previous iphone 3g, the youtube app doesnt load properly either for some reason, have just had enough, my phone needs to be permanenly unlocked because am on meteor, and when it restores it FORCES u to update to the newest firmware, so i dont see this unlock lasting too long.

    Please HELP me with this

    Thanks in advance

    :)

The newer iphones are only able to do tethered jailbreaks. so every time batter dies you need to re jailbreak using blackra1n. you dont lose any of your setings though.

I've just got a spanking new 3GS from Apple as a replacement for my pre-week 40 3GS and the jailbreak is untethered i.e. Can turn it on / off no problem without using Blackra1n to boot it ?

No , not solved ....The only available jailbreak for the new bootrom is a tethered jailbreak , even the long awaited DEV Team 3.1.2 jailbreak is not untethered for same said bootrom.

Mate its simple ....When your phone looses power or needs a reboot you will just have to hook it up to your P.C , open up blackra1n (on your P.C ) and hit "make it rain" .
10 secs later , back to normal !.. All previous settings and Apps intact .

Dont keep doing restores , NO NEED !
