Watched a bit. Heading to bed now. Just two teams playing pitch and catch (and Vince Young still looks bad at QB)

Always nice to see undrafted guys there (like Cribbs) though

Just tuned in now. Doesn't seem to have the same atmosphere, surprise surprise.

    ADDITION - entertaining though!

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

Watched the first half last night and then went to bed. Pretty much what i expected though. Although it was good to see some messing around which wouldn't be risked in a competitive game.

I can't believe Colts players still had to travel to the game even when they weren't playing..........

The are in Florida anyways and will be playing in the same stadium a week from now. Hardly a huge ask for them.

The would have to have been there anyway for the Superbowl - I think it's customary to have both teams there for the whole week.

Not much "messing" in the second half: I miss the Devin Hester fifty yard crossfield lateral on a punt reurn fro ma couple of years back!

The Colts and Saints are heading to Miami today. The players were forced to head to Florida a day early and there was the possibility that they would actually fly back to base and then travel back to Florida this evening with their teams so as they could do film sessions with the team today. Its fairly crazy to take them out of their teams for one or two days(depending on travel arrangments) and away from their studies for the Superbowl just so that they can get their picture taken in civies

    +1 on that Frostie.

Just as well it wasn't Hawaii this year. At least Flordia is central enough for Indiana and close for Louisiana. Still ridiculous that they had to make an appearance for a photo op.

Drew Brees is quoted as saying he didn't mind. Whether its fair or not these players sign contract with the NFL when it comes to PR and if the NFL asks them to jump they have to answer how high. The joys and tribulations of being a Pro Football player.

But on the other end of that, they signed their NFL contracts prior to the changing date of the Pro Bowl. I can understand why the NFL want the players to be present but I personally dont care if Manning, Brees and whoever is there or not, unless they are on the field.

The experiment of playing it this year didnt work for me. Over 30 players had to be replaced and to have David Gerard and Vince Young in the pro bowl this season is a bit crazy. Gerard was average at best this season and Young was good for the half season he played...neither is pro bowl worthy for the entire body of work of a season. The Pro Bowl is generally always fairly crap-I dont think All Star games work as well in football as in basketball-contact is such an important part of football and not having blitzing and, lets be honest, not having defence doesnt cut it in my eyes.

It doesn't matter if the game is changed. Things like PR are cemented in players contracts in Pro sports in the US. It usually is written in so the player has no choice but to attend no matter how stupid the request is. Why do you think the teams didn't object to it or the players.

The Pro Bowl is the biggest joke the NFL has to offer. I couldn't tell you when the last time I even watched it.

Every year I swear I won't watch it and every year I do.... The pass rushing is comical!

Don't think Peyton cared too much....
I got to fly on a private plane with six of my best friends and teammates. We had Ruth Chris Steakhouse food on the plane, took a private escort right into Miami, shook a few hands, had to wave, did one interview and made $45,000. I can think of some worse things to put yourself through.
