    Voler La Vedette will head straight to Cheltenham for the David Nicholson Mares' Hurdle.

    Colm Murphy had been targeting the Irish Champion Hurdle for his talented mare, but was forced to rule her out of the Grade One event after she pulled a muscle on January 18.

    The six-year-old is making good progress, however, and is in line to take her place at the Cheltenham Festival in March.

    "She seems A1, but we'll take our time with her," Murphy said.

    "She'll go straight to Cheltenham now for the mares' race - I think she has a realistic chance of winning that."


    Took this from the ATR site and i think we can really now scrap the form of her victory over Go Native from the form book. Enuf said imo

    should be a classic race with quevega - 2 top horses who wouldnt be too far behind the best champion hurdle contendees this year

    From what ive been told VLV is a quirky madame so it really all depends how well she travels over and what sort of mood shes in.
    As for quevega and willie mullins stable stars form, there is just a big question mark. Will she even run? If she does and is in the same form as last year she will win imo.
