    Hi there,
Looking for a netbook for just surfing, email etc. Don't want to spend a fortune as I already have laptop.
    I want to spend €400 max eek.gif

Is this possible? I also want Windows 7.

    Thanks in advance.

PS Am happy to buy either in a shop, or online.

Not many netbooks come with Windows 7, but there are plenty that are sufficiently less than €400 that you can buy it and install it yourself.

these two seem like quite good value.

Thanks for the quick reply. Unfortunately it's not available till the 10th Feb & I'm anxious to have it for an upcoming trip. It's also got XP. I think I'd be better off with Windows 7?

Keep those suggestions coming. I need to make a decision on this as soon as possible!

Right mate i bought this machine in soundstore two weeks ago, nice machine.Remember it only has windows starter (you cant even change the wallpaper)and it wont take windows premium. You get a trail of micrsoft office for two months or so,when i clicked on upgrade, they were looking for about 500 euro for it.Since i am studying at Open university i found a site where i got Office professional for about 40 sterling.Got a nice carrying bag for mine as well, and bought vodafone pay as you go mobile for when am out and about.Any other questions pm me.

    Hi again,
Well I bit the bullet & bought the HP I had posted about earlier on. I got it in my local PC World for €299.97, so very happy :)

Thanks to all of you for the advice you gave.
