Getting into a game...

    Maybe it's a massive coincidence, or maybe not, but every time i have my headset plugged into the controller, I'll get into a lobby, it'll go to "Finding the best host" and I'll be kicked out of the lobby with the sign "Game Lobby Closed".

    But then if I try taking out the headset I get into a game straightaway...

    Weird, not sure if its a coincidence or not, maybe other people could try and see what the story is.

    Is it everytime ?
    Do you know if they are local servers or usa ?
    Whats your broadband speed and ping ?
    What headset do you use?
    Sounds funny mate but at the same time a mate of mine in england if he is downloading stuff and online on the 360 he has to plug out his mic so he can get into the room, dont know why he bothers cos lags all over the place with 1 bar.

    yeah happens almost everytime, weird things but seems to be consistent.

    speed is 2mb, hardlined to the modem, ping is 50ms i think, not sure server wise, and the headset is the standard white one for the xbox.

    Yep, that seems to be how it works for some reason. Went back and tried in in COD 4 too and it works there too which woulda been handy to know 1 year ago :mad:

    it'd be better if I found a way to get a party into a game easily...

    speed is dodgy especially if it goes unstable , ping average should about 30.
    What isp are you with ?

    eircom, like i said playing is fine, playing with the headset is fine after i get into the match, it's just when i try join the lobby with the headset in it doesnt work, weird.

    I just tried it there. I got into the games no problem but then as soon as I plugged my headset back in I got connection interrupted and then booted mid game. Weird :confused:

    you around limerick city ? i got a m8 there with the exact same problems , he is with eircom aswell .

    Nah I'm out the country myself, it's just a weird one, i can't see any reasoning for it, just strange thing i noticed.
