Just looking for some general information on this site. We've booked a 2 week stay in August with our 3 kids - 7,6 & 4. Booked with Campotel. I see from their web site that they say that kids under the age of 10 cannot use the slides - is this rigouresly enforced?
    Any info appreciated

Thanks for that. I'm hope the bend the rules a bit, especially if there's adult supervision

Indeed, but i also hope the site didn't take too much of a hammering when that big storm (La Tempeste Xynthia) which killed 50 people hit western France a couple of weeks back. We'll have more to be worried about than a ban on under 10's on slides if the place has been thrashed !

    Keep in touch anyway.

I spent a week there 2 years ago, nice site, nice area, lovely walks along the coast.
Recently got a promotional email from the site mentioning that it was untouched by the recent storm.

Regarding the kids on the slide issue I would ring the campsite directly (very good english speakers on reception) and find out what the situtation is. If they say that your kids will be allowed to use the slides make sure you get the name of the person you are speaking to, as I have had a similar issue on another site. We were told that our 7 year old would be able to use the slides on booking but when we arrived it was a different story... http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g940911-d670707-r34267223-Camping_Club_Les_Sablons-Portiragnes_Languedoc_Roussillon.html#CHECK_RATES_CONT

Just noticed that it is mentioned on their site http://www.campinglelittoral.com/ that they were unaffected by the storm :)
Campsite contact details are also there.

Just back after 8 lovely days in Le Littoral. Happy to answer any Q's based on our (pretty much totally) positive experience there.

Re the flumes (water slides) . . . my 10 and 5 year olds had no probs being allowed on. Only thing I'd say is that I'd imagine the site will be rammed in July and Aug when the French kids are on school hols. They may run things differently and be less flexible when operating at full capacity. The little man occasionally had to come down to the flumes to give out to kids (and me once) using the "international language of pointing" when things got little unruly but otherwise he was fine.

As for us . . . had a ball and hope to head back next year.

We are going tomorrow to le littoral.
Are they sticky about the speedo budgie smuggling shorts and boxers?

Also how far is it to the nearest supermarket. We've been camping several years now but this is our first at le litt.

    Hey Rougebledz

They did seem strict enough re not permitting board shorts and I wore the budgie smugglers much to my kids horror, but they got used to it eventually. See how you get on and if they make an issue than so be it. From memory the shops weren't too far....maybe 10 mins by car.

Lovely spot. Amusez-vous biens et bonnes vacances.
