Ok so i have recently been told to get better results on my ps3, put it in a DMZ host. I checked my Router and it has "static nat" which i have been told is the same as DMZ. The problem i have is when i create a static nat for my ps3, It doesnt give me a NAT type therefore not letting me play online.
Can anyone shed some light on this? :S

Im guessing youve a crappy netopia router, this is how you enter the details into your router ,do as follows:
1) click define custom service
2) Port Forwarding:
Range of PortsForward a range of WAN ports to an IP address on the LAN
3)
Port Range

Service name is the title of the port ur opening, can be anything.

Global Port Range refers to the band your opening, the first box should contain the beginning and the second box the last number. For instance if the ports to be opened are for example 125,126,127,128 then 125 goes into the first box and 128 into the second box. 126 and 127 will open also.

Base host port: Whatever is in the first box of the global port range, re enter it here

Protocol: When your given a port number it goes under TCP or UDP so just select the option that goes with the number you have

I had to figure all this out by myself about 3 years ago, hope you understand whats above
