Car wont move

It'll start but not move. I haven't driven it for the past month (the tax and insurance ran out + the crap roads + being broke I just said I'd leave it for a month) now during this month I was starting the car, except after the cold weather it wouldn't start properly (but that isn't odd for this car) then it just gave up starting, now it's back but won't move.

It's a subaru vivio and the battery is good in it (had to buy a new one recently) I don't think there's anything leaking from it.

I'm going to go and have a look at it now, try start it, move it and look at the fluid levels.

Anyone have any suggestions what to do, I need it back now.

the handbrkae could be seized if you give the back hubs a whack with a hammer it should free it up it happen to one of my old cars when it was left up for a while

When you select gear to drive, does it go in easy enough and
try to move, also when you release the hand brake, does it go
    down with ease.
I'd jack up the car and take off the back wheels, see are they
moving freely, possible that the interior or lying of the shoes
have broken and become lodged, stopping the car from moving.
That or your clutch is no longer working.

+1 its common enough with a car parked up with handbrake on.
Its always a good idea to leave handbrake off when a car is going to be parked up a while but only if you can park it off road and chock the wheels to stop it rolling away:D

try reverse and forward a few times, it will free out the handbrake.
