Question about hrv

Hi I have been trying to think of ways to improve heat distribution around the house using the HRV system we have.

My stove is recessed into a chimney breast and about 4' over the stove is a place i could easily run an extract up into the attic where the HRV unit is.
My thinking is this could go 2 ways -
i)Decrease the heat in the house as you are exhausting hot air -
    OR
ii)Increase the temp of Air being fed to the rooms throughout the house as the HRV unit will have a warmer exhaust air to exchange with the incoming air.

The house has a large footprint and the stove only immediately heats the corner of the house it is in the rest of the house rely's solely on the radiators (heated only by the stove) and whatever the HRV feeds into the rooms which often in winter seems too cold.

if it makes any difference the unit is an orcon hc-300

    any thoughts appreciated.

    thanks

If I was installing my HRV system again I would fit an extract duct over the stove.
You would no doubt lose some heat as no HRV is 100% efficient but would gain more than you lose.
My small Morso 5kw woodburner heats the whole house even with the extract being in the kitchen not above the stove.
I would however make sure the duct was easy to close for when you don't need the heat to be taken directly from the room.
