Faking attack to get on tv lol

    Do you guys think is possible that this place was allegedly attacked/hacked to get onto RTE news to boost the number of members/increase traffic?

    It is very obvious that the number of new member since then is at an all time high! Maybe these people are those who cannot access their old account but I doubt it, well at least not that high a percentage

    I only suggest as this is the "Conspiracy Theories" thread:p

    I'm temporarily closing this thread until I get the advice on whether this thread is ok or not, as the attack is still under official investigation.

    OK, I'm leaving this closed because it's still not suitable to discuss the attack.

    The attack on Boards is still under official investigation, and, as you can all imagine, it isn't in Boards' best interests to allow discussion of any conspiracy theories relating to the attack until that investigation is completed.

    Perhaps there will be a suitable time for discussion in the future, but, for now, discussion of the attack has no place on this forum.
