grant 2010/2011?

    When do these applications come out?
    I really need one lol

    Also could someone tell me if i would be entitled to one,
    I'll be 18 in june, Me Mam is only part time and my dad is unemployed and I live within 24km of my college

    Well you can contact your local authority (for example mine is Dublin city council) now and put your name and address down for one, they are usually out around july/august time iirc

    Hi

    Sounds like you might be eligible for the HEAR scheme. look at www.accesscollege.ie asap complete HEAR online with CAO before 1st feb. Most unis give top-up scholarships to approved access students.

    For info on grants, eligibilty etc goto www.studentfinance.ie there is nothing you can do until Aug because applic forms won't be released till then.

    If you go into the offices on wood quay entering from the quay itself the office is on the extreme right of the front door, or ring them on 2222 222

    You can also check out their site but i found it easier just to plonk my name down and they send out the forms when they are ready

    One piece of advice i have for you OP, get your application in as early as you can as i applied in september and i'm still waiting now.

    yep and to make it worse all those figures were cut by 5% in the last budget, effective immediatly
