I'd say those Duvels are the small bottles (somewhere about the 330ml mark). The big ones (750ml, I think?) rarely surface for less than a fiver. Even so, neither of those is enormously potent... is it? Maybe I'm just used to drinking stronger beers. I mean, it's not a Brewdog monster like Tokyo or Tactical Nuclear Penguin... can't say I've ever tasted any of the Brewdog beers, but would definitely like to... if only just once. I hear the Tokyo is very drinkable, scarily.

yeah, the small duvel and chimay, 330ml. All the leffe and hoegaarden was gone in prussia st last night when I went to restock. Only single bottles left and they weren't reduced as much. Also, the 750ml bottles of hoegaarden are in this sale.

Alot of the beers that bulmers took over are on promotion.

I bought a box (15x 300ml) of Gaymers for 12 euro along with some other beers in tesco. Everyone at the party tried it and wanted more. It's too bad for a pear cider. 4.5%

    I think it's 9%. I think that's pretty potent!

(obviously nowhere near 32% - but that's just silly)

Duvel's 8.5%; there are three or four Chimays, so depending on which you've got they're different strengths. I'm not new to stronger beers, especially those on sale in Ireland, trust me :p

That's not ridiculously strong. The Tactical Nuclear Penguin I referred to above is 32%. THAT's strong; you sip that like whiskey.
