This is the reply I got to an ad I placed to sell a TV looks like a scam to me...?
How can the sender make anything from me resonding to them...?

Probably a scam, I think the cheque can possibly apparently clear and then get it back later somehow. A quick search of the phone number shows they target german sites, you could use google translate to see if it is a scam, certainly sounds like one.

The cheque/money order will be fake, guaranteed. It reads exactly like a billion other cheque scams. Ignore him, or string him along, but whatever you don't give any real personal details.

Why is it that they still try even though people can (most of the time) trace it by a simple google search??
