Why is it on in Dubarry Park? was that prearranged before the finalists got there. Surely Thomond or Musgrave would make more sense or perhaps the problem was that one team would have a "home" advantage ruled out these venues.

    Hope it's a good game.

It was there last year too - same reason A internationals are there I'd say.

just reading the Examiner there, the Junior Cup is on before it as well, that features 2 Northern teams so make sense. Yeah, given it's central location Dubarry Park is the probably the fulltime venue for the cup.

Con seem to be putting out a strong enough team. Junior Cup is between Armagh and City of Derry.

This on RTE 2 at three today, hopefully Garrowen will do the business.

Just seen teams, lots of up and coming Munster players involved.

Archer, Nagle, Holland, O'Mahony, Williams, Gleeson and Deasy for Con.

    Sherry and Murray for Garryowen.

Scrum half battle between Conor Murray and Duncan Williams should be interesting.

Good to hear Frankie on commentating duties, common sense, witty and his knowledge of the scrum is invaluable.

Pretty stale kicking fare so far. What a dumb decison to have it in Dubarry Park also.

Deserved lead for Garryowen at the break, they should go on and win it from here especially with CC down to 14 men. Murray's kicking, conversion aside, has been bang on the mark. How many years has Cronan Healy been getting away with it now, some chancer.

Hardly a deserved lead, Con have played all the rugby, Garryowen have clung in, taken their chances and have played a sensible game of territory. Extra man will make a huge difference so Garryowen to wear down Con and win by 15-20pts is my prediction.

    Garryowen defence, hang your heads.

What was Nagle sent off for?

Throwing a few punches to the head of a Garryowen player, called by the A/Ref.

Garryowen must be smarting after that defeat, no one to blame but themselves for not taking advantage of the 14 man opposition. Some of the passing out wide was tragic and I lost count of the number of attacks that broke down by poorly executed skip or loop moves.

Caught the last 15 mins on the live stream - good job RTE.

Some nice tackling by Con in the last few minutes - the tap tackle in particular.

Con were a class above them. Should have been leading at half time.

Peter O'Mahony was the man of the match. He could be a future Munster regular. Holland had a good game too.

Murray outplayed Williams at scrum half.

Class above, they were in my left one. They were let off the hook by poor Garryowen decision making in possession. To play an entire second half against a team with one second row and end up losing must be a source of embarrassment for them.

What I meant was, having a player sent off will galvanise Con as a team and they will scrape a 1pt win against the odds.

Maybe because they're poor decision makers? ie lack class. ;)
