Knocking noise, shaking steering wheel!

I was driving today (Berlingo van) and went over a speed bump, no faster then I usually would, and as the front wheels came off the ramp I heard a sort of "bang" noise.
Anyway shortly after that, when I press the accelerator there is a strange knocking noise from the passenger wing area, only for the initial period when I press the accelerator, its fine then! The steering wheel also judders quite strongly but again only when I press the accelerator initially!! Also the knocking noise comes when I brake strongly or go over a ramp!

Anyone got any ideas what I might have damaged??
I'm really getting pissed off with my van, I have it less then 3 months, its been to the garage 4 times!

Dont suppose the oil has started leaking?

You could have hit the sump.

    Sounds like a CV joint.

    Motor mount, even?

Broken spring or top strut mount/bearing? Perhaps a badly worn bushing somewhere that gave up on impact.
I'd give everything a good check over especially since there's bad steering judder.

Took it to the garage anyway this morning, he said that a nut inside in the wishbone of the front left tyre had snapped and that its undriveable until its fixed as the wheel could collapse or something!

Sounds like it'll cost me a bit!

Chances are they'll charge you for a new wishboen as this is what hods the balljoint into place in the hub. Did you take it t a main dealer? These parts are available purious and shouldnt be any more than 70-80 euro (depending on the year of the van). labour no more than an hour, again this is dependent on the garage you have it in with. They may tell you you also need to have a wheel alignment/tracking done on the car. I would recommend this.

No its not at the Citroen main dealer so hopefully that should keep the cost lower! The van is 03 so its gettin on a bit, I'd get rid of it cause its caused a mountain of trouble but there is still over 9 months doe and tax on it so I'll have to wait untill towards the end of the summer I'd say!

Those 2 things make it a more attractive buy than without so I wouldn't wait just for those reasons alone.
