Yeah I got all forty or so episodes from a friend on "DVD".. lets say.. ;-)

I think you will generally find that you will be interested in some of the patients more than others. I was more interested in Melissa George's character, and the gymnasts story than the married couple. So it's up and down really. Overall I enjoyed it though.

melissa george, wasn't she a villain from alias?

I'm not sure about here, something about her mouth winds me up the wrong away, I hate when a petty little annoyance like that can ruin a whole tv show for me

Hefty price tag? It's on par with other tv boxset new releases.

I'd be wary of spending a wodge of cash on a seies I'd never seen. I enjoyed it (some characters more than others) but wouldn't watch it again. I watched the pilot of the original Israeli one and it looked pretty god, if virtually identical to the US derivative.

Regarding it's price-tag, it can be gotten for €38 delivered from Sendit: http://www.sendit.com/dvd/in-treatment-season-1/10074348.html

Not much more expensive than a standard boxset for a season of any other TV show... not to mention the first season of 'In Treatment' contains a whopping 43 episodes (twice as much as a standard season of most network TV shows).

It's a fine price to be honest.

I've never seen the show... I've been meaning to give it a look. Maybe in the off-season.

HBO stuff tends to be a little dearer anyway, although as mentioned, not many shows have that many episodes per season.

I'll try and check this out when I'm finished working my way through other things.

They're only 25 minute episodes though (yet they're more or less in real-time and cover hour-long sessions, a detail which bugged me a little bit).

I watched it on whoever broadcast it over here (TV3?) and found it a bit much. It was enjoyable, but the broadcast structure (an episode a night) was very soap-ish and seemed to take it out of me. I felt I needed my own therapy session at the end of each week to try and cope with the mental issues the characters had :D

It would've been better if it was a shorter series IMO, rather than a nightly occurrence.

That Melissa George was in Neighbours!

    Angel from Home And Away.

The shows are only 25 minutes long but there are about 40 in a series I think.
