The rent credit can be claimed now for prior years back to 2006. An application form is available on the revenue site or you can apply through PAYE anytime.

You can apply for previous addresses (as far back as 06) as long as you have the necessary details, your landlords address and PPS. Although I have seen claims go through without these details, it is possible they would refuse without.
