Has anyone used CAR SKIN DIAMOND GLAZE????

    Hi,

Has anyone ever used this car skin diamond glaze on their car. It's supposed to bring old faded paint work back to as new.

It's a two stage process, stage 1 being like T-cutting and stage 2 like applying a protective skin.

I'm just wondering if anyone has anything good or bad to say about it.

I have an old car that needs the paint bringing back to life. While it looks fairly good, when you get up near you can see that the paint is beginning to fade/oxidise.

Any thoughts welcome or any pointers to other products.

    Thanks

I saw it advertised in this month's Classic Cars magazine. Having looked at their website, I know one of their dealers in the UK and he wouldn't sell anything that wasn't very good. The Pre-Treatment removes oxidation and brings back the colour if it has faded and the Protector Sealant will seal the paint. There are no miracle products out there, so if you were to neglect ongoing care and not keep the protection topped up from time to time, it would deteriorate again. Nothing lasts forever.

Personally I would clay the paint first, then use a non-abrasive gentle chemical paintwork cleanser to deep clean old paint, remove oxidation and bring back the colour and gloss. Then protect it properly with a paint sealant.
