Mods please don't move. Have a feeling that the Computing Forum won't be to busy this time of night...

My connection went on my computer earlier on. Troubleshooting is telling me to switch it back on and that the switch is on the front or side of the computer???

Needless to say i can't see any switch, can anyone help?

    It's a Inspiron btw...

Its usually a Function key. Like Fn+F6 or one of those. youll see the wireless symbol on one of those F keys.

    Ah that's a ID 10 T error..

    If memory serves...
Hold the blue Fn (Function) key and press F2...

Or else you have the dreaded system 32 virus..

start - connect to - wireless network connection.

Then there's some mumbo jumbo about letting windows manage your wireless networks. If you were using another piece of software to manage your wireless connection try that first because if you allow windows to take over you have to re-enter you wep/wpa key.

For myself when my PROSet wireless crashes and I let windows take over it switches the wi/fi on itself even of the switch is off on the outside of the laptop.

If this doesn't work check for a loose wire on the bit of hardware that pics up the wireless signal.

If you go looking for it, you will never find it.

If your eyes are open, you will never see it.

Genius! I was pressing Fn + F2 instead of just F2:rolleyes: Also looking for a mystical switch that i knew didn't exist.

    You can lock it now;)

Nah, my threads on here are usually moved. I don't have only 11 posts either before you ask. My other one is still being verified from after the hack last week.

That's probably the most Zen statement I've ever read in AH.
