'USB Device Not Recognized'

    Sony Vaio VGN-NS10L // Running Vista.

    Whenever I switch on the laptop 'USB Device Not Recognized' pops up, but nothing's attached.

    Any ideas?

    Had that issue with a built in webcam before. If you have one try checking to see if it works.

    Also, go into Device Manger (right click on "My Computer" and select properties then device manager) and see if any devices are listed as unknown.

    Try reinstalling the drivers for those devices.
