Matt Hardy - Should He Go To TNA?

Like Jeff - should Matt go to TNA?

His highest championship gained with WWE was the ECW Championship. Since his move away from ECW, he went to Smackdown in a feud with Jeff which was catching everybody's attention.. and even caused a shock when he beat his brother at Wrestlemania. He moved to RAW to continue his heel run, but got nowhere and soon found himself being drafted straight back to Smackdown, but as face. His brother left, and Matt has gotten nowhere. Even now, he is in a strange team with The Great Khali, which will lead to nothing. Matt is stuck beneath the glass ceiling with time running out. He has seen the likes of Edge and Jeff rise above him.

    Should he go to TNA?

[Hi by the way, I am new here..]

No, Matt is a bit **** but he has a niche group of fat female fans which makes him valuable enough to the WWE to not future endeavour him and keep him at midcard level. At TNA he'll keep being **** and he's not going to get pushed to Championship standard so he'll be in the same position earning less at a worse company

Welcome to boards and the PW section!!:):):D

Matt Hardy never really got the big push or the big title in the WWE. His feud with Edge in '05 was his most memorable due to it happening in real-life. He had a pretty good feud against M.V.P as well as his ECW title run.

To me, Matt has always been and will always be the over-looked Hardy. Jeff has uniqueness and is very charismatic. Matt doesn't, he's just a generic wrestler that's the brother of Jeff.

I think Matt shouldn't go to TNA atm as he'd just get lost over there. TNA is a complete-cluster**** with Hogan/Bischoff running it. Storylines that don't make sense and old guys like "The Band" (the WORST name for a group, ever) being over.

Jeff has his court-case coming up on March 17th as well. There's a lot of confussion on whether he's actually signed with TNA or was his appearence on Jan 4th just a one-off. He doesn't even have a place on the TNA roster on TNA's own site. I think what's stopping Jeff right now is if he's found guilty of the charges and has to go to jail.

He should, but mainly to keep an eye on Jeff in case the muppet doesn't overdose or something.

    haha dont hold back anyway!

Matt is ****e. He's always been ****e. He has no charisma at all, and has a ridiculous looking head.

He would be nowhere if it wasn't for Jeff.

I dunno about that, the dude was seriously over in 2007 and folks it was more than fat girls who were into him back then. :o

I wouldn't mind him giving Matt Hardy V2 a go, complete with Mattitude facts like "Matt like his orange juice with extra pulp" V1 was a bit fun and it's not as if he going to anything in his current gimmick. Though his hand sign would look a lot like the 4 horsemans'.....................[FONT=Tahoma, Verdana, Arial, Times New Roman, Courier, Courier New][FONT=courier new, courier]

Yes, I think it would be a good move for him to go to TNA. I think, like Christian, he would find a good amount of success there, and could easily win the TNA title. WWE don't seem to know what to do with him. Turning him face or heel at a whim. He could easily have slotted into the main event scene several times over the last several years, but WWE haven't capitalised on his skills.

And he is a very good worker. I would say he is a better all round wrestler than Jeff, just less flashy. Jeff is truly awful on the mic, Matt ain't fantastic, but he's much better than Jeff.

A move to TNA would allow him a fresh start in another promotion, would only do him the world of good.

The only people that should go to TNA are over the hill/troubled stars and washouts with at least wcw (preferably) or wwe experience or close personal friends of Hulk Hogan. Everyone else will just get shít on like A.J Styles as lance storm describes here
To me this angle is a sabotaging push. You claim to be pushing a guy while you force him out of his own element as a character, put him in a situation (being a heel) that limits his strengths in the ring, you then over shadow him with someone who is supposed to give him the rub and do underhanded things that make him look bad (like having him look small standing beside girls) and then when he isn’t as over as he is supposed to be at the end of it all, you point out that you tried real hard, “but the kid just couldn’t get over” and put all the blame on him and then go on to push who you originally wanted to in the first place.

Christian wasn't doing stupid dances with Khali when he left, he had just finished a great programme with Jericho and Trish

I think in hindsight Matt made a mistake going back to WWE and should have went to TNA following the fallout involving Lita and Edge.

The 'You screwed Matt', 'We want Matt' stuff would have continued but by going back to WWE they were able to kill it off, which they did.

I doubt he agrees with that. People forget how over he was in 2007 and how well booked he was, sure he was not as protected as Batista but he was in the next bracket at that time. His ECW title reign was fine, his matches with Henry were much better than I expected.

Tend to agree with the OP, his time with the WWE has run its course. He's still over, but it's driven by nostalgia, which isn't good enough: He's a guy that can still work (has he overcome his injury probs?) and surely has another lengthy feud or two left in him.

At this juncture, WWE clearly don't know what to do with Matt other than using him as a jobber to the stars. He should cut and run to TNA (even though it's a total clusterf*** right now) or Japan and make decent money before the 'E' drain his support completely.

I'd say his current Khali situation is punishment for Jeff heading to TNA

    +1.

Which isn't fair at all. Are WWE's bookers just a shower of vindictive c**ts?

Yeah, Christian was coming out of a programme where he got to be Jericho's sidekick for a while and then betray him. He was Virgil to Jericho's Million Dollar Man.

That programme wasn't been used to elevate Christian, but was been used to give Jericho something to do.

Absolutely. And it would have made his eventual return to WWE pretty awesome!
