    Im serious.

Learning to play on cheap buy ins, the easy way is the internet. It keeps costs down while your learning, You get more games/hands quickly.

The cheapest casino/Card rooms will have 25 to 50 euro buy-ins for cash and tournaments which can add up very quickly if your not a winning player.

When your more confident then go to a card room. Somewhere like Voodo, Generally closer is better as i like my sleep and my day job.

Dont start in casinos when you turn 18. Start off in pubs. Play a few games in the local, or a boozer running a small freeze out. Learn to handle chips, follow the action and get over the nerves before trying a casino.

It can be a nerve racking experience the first time you sit in a casino with a group of regulars.

The Sporting Emporium/Fitz would be very intimidating for a 1st timer whereas somewhere like VooDoo would be a nice place as it seems to be more of a friendly/noob atmosphere.

Yout only option for tourneys is the fitz or vodoo, as the SE is over 21's, otherwise look up jp mccann on jp poker who runs a high standard pub game most nights of the week

    Nice

Somebody trying to get their post count up so the can get cred' and begin to offer rakeback?

To answer OPs question, Voodoo imo, staff are much nicer in there than most places and you'll feel more comfortable.

Is Voodoo the kind of place you can go in for a beer as well? Have a few mates coming over in june but they don't gamble much but I do..

Start off with cheap tourneys in The Jackpot or Voodoo to get used to the live play rules, string bets etc.

Then go to D1 for 0.50c/€1 live NL.

I started off by playing cheap ten euro games in my local pub. It's a nice friendly atmosphere, and players play for the enjoyment not for the money which is a big plus.

It's where I learnt the game and playing there helped improve my game. I still play there regularly.

don't know what pub games are like nowadays but when i started playing they were awful, really bad structures and not a good place to learn at all.

play online then move to casinos. they will intimidate you and there will be better players there than in pub games but you will learn better that way. good luck see you at the final table etc etc
