Toyota Corolla T2

    I just after buying a 04 Toyota Corolla..its a 1.4 vvti T2, does anybody know what the T2 stands for?? is it a higher spec than an average corolla?

    first of all it means its a UK import as the "T" are UK spec.

    T2 is a very basic spec about the same as the aura spec here..., the order is (I think)

    T2
    T3-(S)
    T4
    T-Spirit

    T2 on a Corolla is UK base spec.

    Electric front windows with one touch operation
    and anti-trap
    4 speaker radio and CD player

    T3 adds:

    Carbon style fascia (hatchback models only)

    Unique interior trim with blue accent
    Steering wheel mounted audio
    controls(hatchback models only)
    Front and rear power windows with anti
    trap(front only on hatchbacks)
    Colour keyed and electrically adjustable exterior
    mirrors
    Rear bumper extensions(hatchback models only)
    Side skirts(hatchback models only)
    Front and rear foglamps
    15-inch alloy wheels with locking wheel nuts

    T Spirit adds:
    Front grille with chrome surround
    Rain sensing wipers
    Electrically adjustable and heated colour keyed
    exterior mirrors
    Electrochromic rear view mirror
    Metallic effect fascia
    6 speaker radio and CD player
    Electric tilt and slide sunroof
    Automatic air conditioning system with digital

    nuts(different design to T3)

    T2 is different to the Irish base Terra spec in that it doesn't get colour coded handles or mirrors, has a more basic radio, doesn't have electric mirrors, but gets air conditioning instad.
