(Please move if not the right forum)

    Hi All,

My wife has been doing a 2 year Fetac Level 5 Full Childcare Course for the last 2 years, and will finish in May this year. Total cost will be €2,500 for the 2 years. She attends 1 full day per week from Sept to May roughly.

She is doing the course with Fingal Adult Education, who are part of County Dublin VEC.

We contacted the Dublin/Fingal Revenue to see if she was entitled for tax relief on her fees, however they have said it is not an approved course or college.

Now the strange thing is another person on the course contacted their local revenue office in Navan (I believe) and they gave her the relief? So, while the course/college may not be specifically listed on their approved lists there does seem to be additional criteria to evaluate the course on the revenues wesite, where it might fit.

Anyone any ideas, or suggestions? Or do you know of others who have successfully got this relief on Level 5 ?

    Many thanks !
