    Does anybody know what key the local services start from on a windows 2003 server ? I need to check permissions on one.

    You should really use SC to view and edit the service permissions

    Anyway, in the registry you could have a look at

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\*NAMEOFSERVICE*
