Also are you ment to get confirmation e-mails as I didn't recieve any after I completed the form.
As you can see I'm dying to know what excatly the story is as I really want to join the PSNI
    Thanks for reading,
    Andrew

Oh and also do tattos on the arm/forearm forbid you from joining?
Sorry if thats a stupid question

Tatoos may disqualify you if they are thought to be oversize , obscene, sectarian or likely to cause offence - the website has a whole subsection devoted to the policy on tatoos so check it out. That said if it's something bland like '' I Love Mum '' then you'd probably be fine.

Again the website states that confirmation e-mails are not sent. You should have received a confirmation message that it had sent.

Ah right. I may be in trouble then :(
But if I was to get accepted into the training I would get it removed.
Its a band tattoo which is big enough on me forearm, also its a heavy metal band.

    Thanks for the reply

The name isn't offensive, just a bit of a morbid name. But it's not an offensive word

Your tattoo will be considered individually. If you get to vetting you will have to provide photographs of it and they will decide if it is acceptable!

I was given my IST date exactly one week after I applied...

Why, is that what you had to do?

Unfortunately I don't know of any specific books or websites to check out.I do recommend you do a Google search for '' Verbal Reasoning Tests '' and for '' Numerical Reasoning Tests '' - that will pull up quite a few sites with sample questions - many of them are harder than the sample questions on the P.S.N.I. website and thus closer to the actual IST questions !
Be wary of sites / books that claim to be preparation for the Police Entrance Exam - this refers to British Police Forces only , remember the P.S.N.I. test is apparently quite different.
