Jericho -- who was arrested along with fellow wrestler Greg "Hurricane" Helms -- was forced to smile for cop cam -- and TMZ obtained the mug shots.

Jericho and Helms were released on $120 bond -- each ... no that's not a typo.

From Beth Britt's (Jeff's girlfriend) twitter - WOW! MMH made the TMZ headlines! He's on the scoreboard now!So hilarious that the story is about nothing...TMZ is in the entertainment business also, keep that in mind. Funny thing is, Matt wasn't even drinking & didn't have any involvement. Classic TMZ sensationalism.

    JR's take on the situation:-

"TMZ making a semi big deal about a situation that Chris Jericho and Gregory Helms found themselves in this week," Ross wrote. "Both these guys are great people and are credits to the biz and I suggest that this well could be much to do about not much.

"No one should rush to judgment about this issue especially since neither individual has addressed there side of this overblown story. This matter definitely deserves a 'Lighten Up Francis.' Wrestling needs more hard working, students of the game who are still fans of the biz like Jericho and Helms."

That's why I like JR, he sees sense in everything. All this has been is an overblown story

I thought it was nothing either, but its getting a little serious now...

    PEOPLE BEFORE BEING ARRESTED YESTERDAY
By Dave Scherer on 2010-01-28 14:20:04
The latest information in the arrest of Chris Jericho and Gregory Helms isn't pretty. According to the latest TMZ report, the alleged tussle that occurred in the taxicab that was carrying Helms and Jericho also had several other people in it. The police are reporting that Helms struck not only Jericho, but also a man named Gary Kelley and a female passenger named Ashley Storer. Helms ran from the group at the gas station where he and Jericho were arrested, but came back soon after.

Charges were not pressed yet because the female said she did not want to file while Kelley is still deciding. The police needs one of them to press charges in order to arrest Helms.

It sounds like Helms is in a bit of hot water right now with WWE management, if nothing else.

Oh and he had a partner

ANOTHER WWE STAR IN THE TAXI WITH CHRIS JERICHO AND HURRICANE HELMS PRIOR TO THEIR ARREST
By Dave Scherer on 2010-01-28 17:38:03
As we mentioned on the No Name Show today, TMZ is now reporting that Matt Hardy was in the taxi cab with Chris Jericho and Gregory Helms when the incident took place where Helms allegedly hit three people. Witnesses told police that Hardy was in the cab and took off on foot when the driver pulled over at the gas station in Erlanger, KY to call 911. Helms also allegedly ran away when the cab stopped but came back shortly thereafter.

TMZ.com has a new article up with comments from Ashley Storer, the woman who was involved in the incident with Chris Jericho, Hurricane Helms and Matt Hardy earlier this week that led to Helms and Jericho being arrested for public intoxication.

Storer, who allegedly took an elbow to the face from Helms, says she has no ill feelings towards him and that it was a “play fight” she was involved in. She claims that they were all crammed into the back of the taxi and she got stuck between Helms and Jericho, who began play fighting. Storer says the “play fight” escalated because everyone was drunk.

Storer now says she took an elbow to the cheek, causing the cab driver to pull over at a gas station where Helms and Jericho were arrested. Storer also claims that Matt Hardy was completely sober.

She also says that the cops blew the whole thing out of proportion but admits she may have made the situation worse because, “I was crying and drunk and tired from being out all night and I just wanted to leave.” TMZ.com has a new article up with comments from Ashley Storer, the woman who was involved in the incident with Chris Jericho, Hurricane Helms and Matt Hardy earlier this week that led to Helms and Jericho being arrested for public intoxication.

I dunno. I think if the plan was for Jericho to win, they obviously had plans for him for WM. Changing the winner at this late stage changes a lot of their plans for WM, because if they had to give the win to someone else, that change their plans too...etc

I heard that they were bailed out by Jason Reso (Christian) and Phil Brooks (CM Punk), though whether this is 100% true, I don't know. I can't find the exact article right now, if I do, I'll add it in.

I would hope it is only a minor bit of argy bargy drunken whatever. Jericho for me is the top heel in the wwe, his walking shoulder swagger alone on top of his mic skills are top notch (not to mention his wrestling skills). I would presume that Randy is a bit of a kn0bber (he does play the heel role in real life though so maybe that explains it). On a side note a couple of my uncles met Andre and John Studd in San Francisco in the late 60's 70's (? must ask them again) and said they were nice guys.

    - TMZ posted an update on the arrests of Chris Jericho and Greg "Hurricane" Helms.

According to the report, "a search of Helm's purse revealed one white round pill" which cops say was a Soma -- the generic version of the muscle relaxer Carisoprodol and a "schedule four narcotic."

Sounds very strange. Not just that Helms had a purse, but that for some reason, he had one pill. One pill in his 'purse'. Sounds too odd to be true to be honest

Jericho had a black eye at the RR

TMZ.com has provided some new details on the January 27 arrests of WWE superstars Chris Jericho and Gregory Helms. According to the police report, Gregory "Hurricane" Helms was in possession of "one white round pill" at the time of his arrest for public intoxication. Police determined the white pill was the muscle relaxer Soma, the generic version of the muscle relaxer Carisoprodol and a "schedule four narcotic."

Helms told police he had a prescription for the pill but was not able to produce any proof of it at the time of his arrest. Cops did not press charges against Helms over the single Soma pill. Should Helms be unable to produce a prescription for the narcotic found on him at the time of his arrest, he would be in violation of WWE's Wellness policy and more importantly, the laws of the state of Kentucky, where he was arrested.

It's worth noting that Gregory Helms was pulled from the Royal Rumble on Sunday after being advertised for the show. Not good when you miss your PPV bonus check. He has also been pulled from TV this week.

TMZ reached out to WWE about these new details but did not hear back.

The wrestling industry is all too familiar with muscle relaxers such as Soma. Dr. Phil Astin was recently jailed for 10 years after he was busted for prescribing Soma (among other drugs) in large quantities to Chris Benoit before he died.
