The US Presidents State of the Union Address. Live on youtube Now: http://www.youtube.com/citizentube?feature=ticker

Hopefully he will touch on many recent AH/Political issues such as the Economy and Haiti Relief. And what effects the next year may have on Europe and Ireland.

Oh I'd say that'd go down a right treat with the crazy hard right fundamentalist christians. You'd think with their views that they'd want more gay people in the military during wartime but no, as usual they have it backwards.

Its fun watching the Republican party stand up and applaud at stuff they like and sit and shake their heads at everything they dislike.
That would be yore Union, not ours.
True but I still thought you might be interested at least fleetingly.

Tbh, he's messed up so badly on healthcare that he needs a new issue to resolidify the left behind him, and give him some victory, and thus some momentum.

Considering that c60% of Republicans and c70% of the entire population support it's withdrawel, it's a safe bet.

Personally, I'd have more fun watching paint dry. Depending on the pigment used, it's less predictable.

    Pretty much.

They don't ask you if you are gay, you don't tell them if you are or not.

Rosy Ryan wasn't too happy about that.

"It lives on in the woman who said that even though she and her neighbors have felt the pain of recession, "We are strong. We are resilient. We are American."

It lives on in the 8-year old boy in Louisiana, who just sent me his allowance and asked if I would give it to the people of Haiti. And it lives on in all the Americans who've dropped everything to go some place they've never been and pull people they've never known from rubble, prompting chants of "U.S.A.! U.S.A.! U.S.A!" when another life was saved.

We have finished a difficult year. We have come through a difficult decade. But a new year has come. A new decade stretches before us. We don't quit. I don't quit. Let's seize this moment - to start anew, to carry the dream forward, and to strengthen our union once more.

Thank you. God Bless You. And God Bless the United States of America."

    Team America.... f*ck off.

Thanks that was just what I was looking for. Couldn't find it online.
1,000 times smarter than any of Bush's speeches. If the senate aka wall st. aka banking dynasties could stop fighting bank reform, I'd be impressed.

so cynical words inspire people if dumb ass cnut biffo could give a speech half has as inspiring (and i dont even think this is that inspiring), or even you know,,,give a speech to the nation, the country would be far more confident in their leadership

I watched 5 minutes of it and could stomach no more once the wrecthing started. Who needs speech writers when your applauded every 3-4 sentences. I like cheese but this was overkill.
