Well according to this, $31.50, though istockphoto were paid $125 for it. It's a bit of an eyeopener really.

I think it's fair game, both Time & the photographer got what they wanted. Infairness not everyone who uses stockphoto expects their picture on the front of Time !

But you have to give it to Harlan Ellison.
