Ah, I now know why so many health questions are posted in tgc, because when you click 'men's health' it takes you here.

Anways, does anyone know what Doxycycline and Tetracycline are marketed as here in Ireland? Would I be able to purchase either or both of them over the counter at my local pharmacy? and if so how much should I be expecting to pay?

    Thanks.

if any of the mods would like to edit the title and add the word 'pill' to the end, I wouldnt mind :D

It should be mentioned that although some people find that changing their diet helps, there's absolutely no conclusive link between diet and greasy skin/acne.

I hate hate hate the attitude that meds generally aren't good for you. Says who? (sorry to be a back seat mod, but this is medical advice, which is not allowed here)

Tetracycline, Doxycycline etc. are all prescription antibiotics, so you'll have to pay a visit to your GP to obtain them. They're quite standard acne treatment drugs.

Thanks for that, now does anyone know how much the drugs will cost? minus the trip to the GP of course.

    Locked as per Charter.

OP - no one here can advise you. Talk to a pharmacist or GP.
