    Hi

I wonder if anyone can help, I have to setup a wireless router later for a friend, they have Irish Broadband Ripware "broadband in a box" 1mb package, the wireless router is a Netgear WGR614, does IBB use DHCP or a fix IP address? They think is a fix IP address but not sure, does anyone know the DNS, Default gateway, etc to configure or do they change by IP address?

    Thanks

If the modem auto-assigns everything to a computer, it'll do the same with the router. It won't matter if the IP is static or dynamic, and if the modem gets the DNS server automatically (which it should) then just leave everything on auto on the router and computer.

Ok thanks, will try to configure DHCP, I did the Setup once I connected the router a while back and was asking for IP Addresses, subnet, etc so left it at the time.
