I'm assuming that 3D vision ready really means 120hz speed so that two pictures can run at 60fps on alternating frames.

TBH, I see it as a bit of a gimmick and I can't see myself tied into it until its technology or a similar product/standard is shared across both nvida/ati platforms. Tying yourself down to one platform in the hope that its new and relatively unused tech will become a standard just seems annoying.
